At The Table NYC, we stand united in our faith as expressed through the Nicene Creed, affirming the historic beliefs shared by orthodox Christianity since the 4th century. This Creed, a cornerstone of our faith, forms the foundation of our beliefs and serves as a guide for our community.

The Nicene Creed

We believe in one God, the Father, the Almighty, maker of heaven and earth, existing eternally as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We confess our faith in Jesus Christ, the only Son of God, who, through His sacrificial death and resurrection, offers salvation to all who believe. We acknowledge the Holy Spirit, the giver of life, who empowers and guides us as the Church, united across differences, in worship and witness.

At The Table NYC, building upon this, we believe:

  • The belief in one eternal God—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—whose love and grace shape our lives. Jesus Christ, fully divine and fully human, born of the virgin Mary, sacrificed Himself for all, rising from death, and reigning eternally. His imminent return fills us with hope and purpose.

  • The Holy Spirit, a divine guide and empowering force, leads us toward understanding, transformation, and service.

  • We hold the Scriptures in high regard—God's inspired revelation—guiding us in faith and practice. Through Jesus Christ, repentance, and belief in His redemptive work, we experience new life and eternal salvation. This transformation shapes our identity and our mission as a diverse, united community.

  • The Church, as the Body of Christ, transcends boundaries, commissioned to share the gospel and make disciples.

  • We anticipate the bodily resurrection of both the just and unjust, affirming our hope in eternal life and guiding our actions with compassion and justice.

  • The imminent return of Jesus Christ shapes our perspective, calling us to live faithfully and lovingly, reflecting His grace and truth in our lives.
